Eclectikan is the ultimate, advanced, real world survival combat tactical training system. m Mission specific training programs derived from Eclectikan include: law enfocement tactical seminars, women's survival workshops, executive protection programs, school teachers' classroom defense workshops, childrens's survival scout programs; as well as physically, visiually and hearing challenged programs.
Eclectikan is derived from two words:
Eclectic - (English, defined as a blend of styles)
Kan - (a Japanese suffix meaning, system or school)
Eclectikan is comprised of:
- Close quarters hand to hand combat tactics
- Close quarters non-injury compliance tactics
- Knife, Baton, pistol, shotgun and rifle tactics.
- Martial art forms from every part of the world
These techniques are designed for rapid assimilation and retention to empower each student with practical, simple and effective ways to legally defend themselves from common real world violent assualt.
Eclectikan is designed to accommodate each student based on that students strenghts and weaknesses. Eclectikan does not emphasize changing the students physical fitness level; instead Eclectikan emphasizes adaptation of th etechniqes to the student. These adaptations are based upon our instructors' real worl experience in urban life threatening situations. Empirical data gained in real world experience is used to guide the tacitics taught to our students.
Eclectikan has three primary components - the Eclectikan Strategic Tirad (E.S.T.)
1.Tactical Psychology- emphasizes the importance of detouring threat by studying body language

interpretation and projection. Students will preemptively detect human aggression by understanding verbal and non-verbal precursors that are detectable in violent assailants.
2. Tactical Law- emphasizes the importance of understanding civilian articulation of threat. Students learn how to legally use force to defend themselves and their families against violent assailants, armed or unarmed, at work, home or while traveling.
3. Tactical Skills- Emphasizes three objectives when a person is confronted with physical threat. Students will escape, control and immobilize all aggressors within three movements. Weapon disarming tactics of pistol, kinfe and baton are fundamental to this component. Weapon tactics, deployment and retention are advanced stages of this training component.
